🦈Concessions are available by the main pool entrance and cash, cards, and Apple Pay are accepted. Sudley’s concession menu can be found here.
🦈The grounds of the Sudley Club are closed during the meet. The Pond is OFF LIMITS. DO NOT touch or throw rocks anywhere on the Club property.
🦈 Makos relay teams will be in lanes 3 and 6.
🦈Deck access is restricted to volunteers and swimmers during the meet. You must have an active badge to enter working areas of deck, including clerk of course.
🦈In addition to the restrooms behind the Canteen, there will be portable restrooms in the staff parking lot (by the pond).
🦈Due to noise restrictions, there will be no music allowed on deck during the meet. Sudley has asked that we do not bring “noise-makers” (mega phones, drums, speakers, clappers, kazoos, etc).
🦈If you ordered a Blue Divisional Meet T-shirt, Leslie will have them available for pick up at volunteer check-in.
📍Volunteers
Volunteers for all three shifts MUST check-in with Leslie prior to the start of the meet. Pick up volunteer stickers at the Makos volunteer table located outside the Game Room of the Sudley Clubhouse.
As mentioned, deck access is restricted. All volunteers must have an active badge for the current shift to enter working areas of the deck, including both ends of the pool and clerk of course.
⛺ Tent-Set Up
Makos area for tent setup is to the left when facing the Sudley clubhouse. Tent space is very limited. We encourage Makos families to join together and share tents as we must keep tents on the asphalt only in the parking lot. Do not set tents up on the grounds or the grass. Tent setup is permitted on Friday night from 8:45PM to 9:30PM. Refer to the map for the setup location for the Makos.
🚗 Parking
Open parking is located at Manassas Mall. A crossing guard will be available for Rixlew Lane.
If you have been given a parking pass, please have the pass ready when entering and leave it on your dashboard throughout the meet. Parking pass parking is located in the lower gravel lot to the right once you turn into the club.
🏊 Meet Reminders
Coaching During Races
Per PWSL rules, swimmers may not receive coaching from anyone—including parents—once a heat begins. Cheer loudly, but please do not give technical instructions such as “touch with two hands” or “stay on your back.” Coaching during a race may result in a disqualification at the Referee’s discretion.
Photography Restrictions
No cameras, phones, or recording devices are permitted behind the starting end of any race. This restriction also applies to relay starts and pools that flip the start end for 25-meter events. These rules align with USA Swimming Safe Sport guidelines.
Facility Use
Swim meets are competitive athletic events. Please do not use amenities such as baby pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, or basketball courts during the meet. Swimmers should focus on resting, hydrating, and preparing for their events.
Locker Rooms & Restrooms
Restroom facilities are shared by swimmers and adults. Showers are reserved for competing swimmers. Please use facilities respectfully and help keep them clean.
Sportsmanship
Great sportsmanship is expected from both swimmers and families. Whether we are visiting another team or hosting at home, let's represent the Makos with respect, positivity, and good character.
