Cleaning up after the Pep Rally (volunteer hours available)
Volunteer hours are awarded for:
Event setup

Note: Bringing a dish does not qualify for volunteer hours.
Bring your own chairs and/or camping tables—we’ll be on the lawn.
The pool remains open to MBW residents until 8:00 PM, so we’ll be sharing the parking lot. Families may begin setting up personal tents for tomorrow’s meet at 6:00 PM tonight. After the pep rally, we’ll set up the deck for the meet.
🏊 Home Meet vs. Bridlewood
Check the SwimTopia app for your swimmer’s latest events, heat, and lane assignments. Our swimmer check-in team will write the information on the swimmer’s arm tomorrow when they check-in. Review the Home Meet Timeline and Swim Meet Tips if you’re new or need a refresher. Please no hair or body paint as these products can damage the pool.
Volunteer spots are still available. We are in need of 2nd shift timers and more! Please sign up. Remember, each family needs 14 volunteer hours by the end of the season. Thank you! https://makos.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

🏊 Meet Reminders
Coaching During Races
Per PWSL rules, swimmers may not receive coaching from anyone—including parents—once a heat begins. Cheer loudly, but please do not give technical instructions such as “touch with two hands” or “stay on your back.” Coaching during a race may result in a disqualification at the Referee’s discretion.
Photography Restrictions
No cameras, phones, or recording devices are permitted behind the starting end of any race. This restriction also applies to relay starts and pools that flip the start end for 25-meter events. These rules align with USA Swimming Safe Sport guidelines.
Facility Use
Swim meets are competitive athletic events. Please do not use amenities such as baby pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, or basketball courts during the meet. Swimmers should focus on resting, hydrating, and preparing for their events.
Locker Rooms & Restrooms
Restroom facilities are shared by swimmers and adults. Showers are reserved for competing swimmers. Please use facilities respectfully and help keep them clean.
Sportsmanship
Great sportsmanship is expected from both swimmers and families. Whether we are visiting another team or hosting at home, let's represent the Makos with respect, positivity, and good character.
Please thank and support our 2026 Makos sponsors:
