We hope everyone had a safe and memorable Fourth of July weekend!
Our team kicked off the holiday with our first-ever Sparks & Sharks Relay, and it was a huge success! Thank you to Coach Bradley and the entire coaching staff for organizing such a fun and exciting event.
A special thank you also goes to Jessie Maillard and Amanda Zimmerman for setting up the delicious waffle stand. It was the perfect addition to the festivities.

🚦OPT OUT DEADLINE
This Saturday we host Victory Lakes for a home meet. If you will not be at the meet, please OPT OUT by tomorrow, Monday July 6th! RSVPing is critical so that our coaches can plan appropriately and place swimmers in the events that best support both individual and team success. If you know your swimmer will be absent but do not opt out, their absence on meet day could jeopardize a relay team, potentially preventing three other swimmers from having the opportunity to compete.

If your swimmer competed in a meet, please look for ribbon boxes located near the clerk of course area at morning practice. Each family has a folder. Folders are labeled in alphabetical order.

Pep Rally: Tailgate!
Friday, July 10: 6-8pm
MBW Clubhouse
It's a Makos Tailgate! Let's make sure our team gets extra fancy as we set up our own tents, prep our pool deck and get ready to host our home meet against Victory Lakes! With team spirit, and good food in mind please bring your families tailgating favorites to share as a potluck with our Makos team. If you plan to eat, sign up to bring something to share!
Please remember to bring your own beverages for your family to the pep rally, and any pop up chairs or seating if you want to eat outside. Chairs and tables will be set up in the clubhouse.

Makos Night Swim
Sunday, July 12: 8-10pm
MBW Pool
Please come ready to get you 'glow' on at our MBW pool. Our team will have exclusive use of the pool to enjoy time with fellow swimmers and special glow activities to make night swimming the best time. Don't forget a beverage if you would like one, we can't wait to enjoy our time as a team. Remember to bring a beverage if needed.

Makos Family Cornhole
Monday, July 13: 6-8pm
MBW Clubhouse (Outdoors)
Join us for our annual Cornhole Tournament! Our very own Coach Bradley will be making the bracket. We can have up to 16 teams. Teams must consist of at least one adult and one kid. Please RSVP to make sure you have a spot and state in the RSVP comment box if your family wants to be entered to play in the tournament.
Even if you don't play, come on out to cheer on your fellow Makos! Ice cream will be served. You are welcome to bring your own chairs and drinks to enjoy the evening. We also need cornhole boards. If you have a set, please bring them.

END OF SEASON BANQUET
Saunders Middle School
Start: 10:00 AM
End: 12:00 PM
Everyone is invited to celebrate the end of our 2026 season with brunch and awards at Saunders Middle School. We will have pancakes and other breakfast foods catered by our local IHOP. Juice and coffee will be provided, but please bring a water bottle for your own H2O consumption. The coaches will be presenting each swimmer with a medal. We will all enjoy the annual photo slide show and cheer for the winners of the yearly awards like age-group High Point, Most Improved, Spirit Awards, and the Makos Of The Year.
